A grown woman was spotted crying after another passenger refused to switch seats with her on a flight.
Tomiko Harvey’s long-haul trip home got off to a bizarre start when a lady on her row made a bizarre request.
The 55-year-old had booked an aisle seat for the 10-hour journey and politely refused to give up her spot.

Shockingly, the woman sat in the middle of the row, then burst into tears – which carried on for an alleged three hours.
“She cried for three hours,” Tomiko, from Richmond, Virginia, USA, told What’s The Jam.
“I finally asked her if someone died, because who cries for three hours?

“She said nobody died.
“She just missed her husband and whose shoulder she would lay her head on.

“Her husband was two rows up in a middle seat with his headphones on, sleeping in heavenly peace the entire flight.”
The odd interaction took place on a flight from Istanbul, Turkey, to Washington, D.C.
Tomiko was returning home after visiting Kazakhstan.

She said: “She really wanted me to be in a middle seat for 10 hours so she could lay her head on his shoulder.
“When we landed, I told her: ‘Good job. Look at you surviving without your husband for 10 hours’.
“Now I need to reevaluate my marriage because I clearly do not love my husband enough.
“What is wrong with people that they feel they can ask a stranger to switch seats, especially on a long-haul flight?
“Is it rude to refuse to switch seats on a plane?
“If you want to sit together, book together or pay for seat selection.”
The flight took place on 9 Oct; Tomiko shared the footage online – which quickly went viral.
The clip racked up over 91,000 likes on social media.
