Cole Palmer swapped England disappointment for luxury on the French Riviera after being left out of Thomas Tuchel’s latest squad.
The Chelsea star jetted off to Cannes with girlfriend Olivia Holder for a sun-soaked break after learning he would not be travelling to the United States with the Three Lions.
The loved-up pair wasted no time enjoying the high life, taking in some of the French Riviera’s most exclusive hotels, restaurants and beach clubs.

Olivia revealed on social media that the couple was staying at the famous Carlton Cannes hotel on 27 May, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Rooms at the five-star hotspot can cost more than £1,000 a night.

The 23-year-old influencer shared snaps of the pair strolling through Cannes, enjoying matcha drinks in the sunshine and visiting a string of luxury dining spots.
Among their stops was La Môme, a popular Mediterranean restaurant where top-end dishes can cost hundreds of pounds.
The couple also enjoyed an evening at Medusa’s, a cabaret venue just off the seafront.

Olivia spent time soaking up the sun at some of Cannes’ most exclusive beach clubs, including Nammos in Palm Beach.
The influencer showed off a polka-dot bikini while relaxing by the sea, where premium sunbed packages can cost more than £250.

There was also an awkward reminder of Palmer’s England omission during one outing.

At waterfront restaurant La Guérite, a display featuring clothing and accessories included an England cap prominently on show.
The couple quickly moved on, later enjoying Japanese cuisine at Zuma in Palm Beach, another luxury dining destination featured on Olivia’s Instagram.
She also shared pictures from Baoli, the glamorous restaurant and nightclub where the pair enjoyed a date night while Palmer’s England team-mates prepared for international duty.

The Manchester-born midfielder was one of the most notable names left out when Tuchel announced his squad, a decision that surprised many fans.
Supporters flooded Olivia’s social media with messages during the trip, with Chelsea fans backing Palmer to bounce back next season.
