Astonishing footage has revealed parked cars transformed into ice sculptures after a freezing night.
Each vehicle was encased in a thick, translucent “coat” of ice, with huge icicles dangling from wing mirrors, wheel arches, and bumpers.
Doors, boots, and bonnets were sealed shut, and the wheels appeared glued to the tarmac by the frozen water.

Stunned locals armed themselves with kitchen knives and hammers, chipping away at the ice in a bid to free their cars after waking to the surreal scene on Sunday (8 Feb).
Residents of Changchun in north-eastern China suspected a nearby pipe may have burst, splashing water across the roadside and onto parked vehicles.
Overnight temperatures below -20°C, recorded over the past week, quickly froze the water, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Officials confirmed on Wednesday (11 Feb) that a leak from a nearby company’s pump station had caused the puddles.
Passing vehicles had splashed the water onto parked cars, which promptly froze.

Authorities are still checking whether any vehicles were damaged.
One viewer suggested: “Fill a plastic bag with warm water, thaw the door handle first, then start the car.”

Another advised: “Only salt will do.”
