A Hollywood “legend” has revealed why he has given up meat after taking on his latest big role.
At the age of 73, Jeff Goldblum says he has ditched “meat and poultry” and insists he’s happy with a chestnut roast this Christmas.
The actor, known for his performances in Jurassic Park, Independence Day and many other classics, recently starred as the Wizard of Oz in Wicked alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

And he says the experience and working with director Jon Chu “changed” him, as reported by What’s The Jam.
“After this movie, we talked about animal cruelty, I stopped eating meat and poultry,” said Jeff.
‘So this Christmas and Thanksgiving, I may be having something else.
“But I’m happy.

“We need the world to work for everybody on earth and every creature, too.”

Social media users have come out in force to applaud the actor.
One person said, “Jeff is full of life and deserves all the success he has had. Still love the fly.”

Someone else added: “Jeff Goldblum. Such a legend.”

The actor made the big reveal on This Morning’s sofa, with Cat Deeley suggesting he try a chestnut roast as this year’s festive meal.
