Balenciaga has left shoppers baffled with a top that has chunks of fabric ripped off – yet it still costs a cool £575.
Bizarrely described as ‘ultra-destroyed’, the stretch jersey product is from the luxury brand’s winter 2025 collection.
The ‘Standard Ripped Tank Top’ is available in faded black with a crew neck.

It features a print on the front and was made in Portugal from 100% cotton.
The model, who is 6ft 1in, can be seen wearing a size small but the shirt itself is described as having a ‘large fit’.

How the sizing is measured is anyone’s guess as two panels of fabric have been seemingly torn off from each side of the man’s torso.
Although the product comes with a hefty price tag, at least the delivery is free.
This isn’t the only strange item from Balenciaga’s winter collection.

Just last week, What’s The Jam reported that the brand had also released a crumpled plastic bag for £775.
Composed of polyamide and Dyneema, it looks remarkably like a supermarket bag – though these are usually made from polyethylene.
The Marché Packable Tote Bag Medium has the company’s logo printed on the front and also includes two addresses for its Paris stores, plus website details.

It has two handles and an inner flat pocket that allows you to pack it “into a pouch”.
According to Balenciaga, the bag can be used to hold all your essentials, from your smartphone to a laptop that weighs maximum 10kg.
So, at least it is quality plastic…
