A mum was left stunned after she discovered her toddler covering herself in bacon fat.
Shelby O’Brien walked into the kitchen to find her daughter Nova applying the grease like a fancy moisturiser.
It was all over the two-year-old’s face, hair and nightgown.

And she looked like she was enjoying herself.
Shelby, 34, had been meal prepping the night before and left the fat on the worktop to solidify before throwing it out.
She shared a video of the funny moment to TikTok, where it gathered over 11.4 million views.
“I baked some bacon on baking paper and left the grease on the counter to sit and cool down,” Shelby told What’s The Jam.
“I was done cooking and since it was past midnight, I left the fat on the counter to solidify overnight, thinking I’d get downstairs before anyone else the next morning, grab it and throw it away.

“Fast forward to just before 8am the next morning, I noticed that my little girl was not laying next to me.
“She usually comes to my bed at 5am and sleeps with me until we both wake up.
“I went downstairs and she was quietly rubbing the cooled bacon grease all over her skin, hair, and nightgown.

“It was definitely a moment to remember to see how shiny she was and was just so happy.
“I thought recording her would be a great memory for when she gets older.
“We had appointments that morning so I had to quickly wipe her down and head out.”
In the clip, Nova can be seen stood on a stool facing the pan of solidified bacon fat.
She has some in her hands and continues to smear it across her face and neck.
Shelby, a vacation rental manager, captioned the post: “My morning as a mum.”
It has since gained 266,000 likes from fans and 2,700 comments.
