Brave firefighters wrestled with an 11ft anaconda that was found in a stunned resident’s back garden.
The reptile was cornered by the fearless crew.
One could be seen gripping the creature just below its head using a grabber.

His unflinching colleague then grasped it near the tail with his gloves.
He could be seen using all his might to cram it into a small box.
But he had to make a second attempt after the powerful snake managed to wriggle free.
Eventually, he managed to push it all the way down into the box and close the lid before it could slither out again.
After taking it back to the wild, the firefighters posed with the snake for the camera, as reported by What’s The Jam.

It happened in Humaitá, south west of Manaus, Brazil last Friday (18 Apr).
An Amazonas Military Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters in the town of Humaitá were called in to deal with an anaconda, around 3.5 metres long, that had turned up in someone’s garden.
“The large snake put up a struggle, but was safely returned to its natural habitat without any injuries.”

The anaconda species most likely to be found in and around Humaitá is the green anaconda.
They are the largest, heaviest and second-longest snake in the world.
Some specimens have exceeded 15ft in length.
The green anaconda is non-venomous and kills its prey by constriction.
