Britain’s most festive home has a staggering 200,000 plus Christmas lights.

The detached property is completely covered from top to bottom in glimmering, white illuminations.

It took owner Richard Iles around a week to put them up, sometimes working until 2am.

Richard added: “We’ve raised £4,000 so far.

Richard makes the pilgrimage to Normandy each year for the commemorations of D Day – the largest seaborne invasion in history, which marked the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe and France.

Paul Cook, vice chairman of Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, said: “As a small niche charity that is wholly reliant on donations, we are incredibly grateful to Rich for choosing to support the Taxi Charity this year.”
