A bride has gone viral after revealing the extreme bruising she was left with after a sports injury took place just five days before her wedding.
Taylor Imus was preparing to wed her partner David when she was hit in the face by a ball while playing softball.
The 36-year-old instantly came up with swelling she compared to a “goose egg”, and her eyes turned black and purple with bruising.

The bride shared shocking photos of the injury, and her transformation on her wedding day, to TikTok, where her post garnered 3.6 million views.
“Everyone at the wedding knew about the accident and I was very high anxiety [beforehand],” Taylor, who is part-owner of a restaurant in Richland, Michigan, US, told What’s The Jam.
“I was playing second base in my co-ed slow-pitch softball league when the ball took a bad hop and hit me in the forehead.
“I instantly had a goose egg, and one day later my eyes started swelling.”
Taylor said she was “upset and angry” with herself but, with just five days until her big day, she knew she had to go ahead with the wedding as planned.

She said: “I was messaging my makeup artist all week, to make sure she was aware of my bruising.
“She definitely had her work cut out for her.
“She used a lot of colour correcting, and said I was her toughest job.”

Incredibly, Taylor was able to get married as planned and her bruising is barely visible in pictures from the big day, which took place last month.
She said: “I was very high anxiety [before] but the day couldn’t have turned out better.
“It was the best day of my life.
“We even wrote about it in our vows, saying ‘In sickness, in health, and softball injuries – we do’.”
Taylor went viral recently after sharing pictures of herself after the accident, and on her wedding day.
One person commented: “You gotta tell us who your makeup artist was cause they did amazing! If I hadn’t seen the before pictures, I never would’ve known.”
“I would’ve been crying in all the pics, I think you took it like a champ,” another viewer said.
Someone else added: “Okay wow and you still looked SO stunning. Hope everything is okay, that sort of bruising is scary!”
“You looked beautiful! As much as it sucked to have had that happen to you, I bet it’s a cool little story to tell. Congratulations to you both!” another user wrote.
Another person said: “You’re an icon.”
