Reality TV star, Jamie Laing, has captured the moment a hoard of tourists on a Hollywood ‘star trail’ bus mistook him for Ellen DeGeneres.
They both sport cropped, peroxide blond hair – but that’s where the similarities end for these two.
But that didn’t stop a tour bus pulling over so tourists inside could ogle the Brit, apparently believing him to be Ellen.

In a video, that has garnered 700,000 views on TikTok, Jamie appears to have been enjoying a smoothie with his wife, Sophie Habboo, at celeb hotspot and upmarket supermarket/eatery, Erewhon, in Los Angeles.
The ‘Star Track’ bus drives slowly past him as the people inside can be seen hanging out of the window armed with their phones.
Appearing excited by the sighting, they shout ‘thank you very much’ to Jamie – who says the crowd thought he was the famous comic Ellen.
Jamie appears bashful as he waves back and giggles reports What’s The Jam.
One person commented: “Omg Jamie. Ellen DeGeneres. Sophie will just rip you for life now ha.”

“I AM DEAD,” said another user.
Someone else wrote: “Hahahahaha no this is too funny.”
Others were left “screaming” and “howling” by the interaction.

Another user agreed: “Made my night.”
Having shot to fame on E4’s Made In Chelsea, these days the reality star is best known for founding his sweets company Candy Kittens and hosting a podcast with his wife.
And while he boasts one million followers on Instagram, the 36-year-old’s reach isn’t quite that of Ellen’s – who hosted her titular talk show from 2003-2022.
While she has since retired, the actress and comedian has remained a household name.
