A British TikToker known as ‘The Pool Guy’ has left social media users shocked after sharing extremely satisfying before and after shots of a grim pool.
Thirty-four-year-old Miles Laflin’s transformation clip has racked up over eight million views.
First shots of the pool – which “had been left for a while” – show just how much of a state it was in.

The water has a disturbing dark green shade, with mould piling up in and around the edges.
It is also riddled with algae growth and plant debris.
Not deterred by a challenge, Miles sticks a tube in the pool and gets to work.
He begins by draining the water and then uses a jet washer to blast the dirt from the tiling.
He then uses a vacuum on the more stubborn stains.

After sucking up and blasting all the dirt, the clean is complete, making for a very satisfying watch.
Miles, from Hertfordshire, UK, has shared his story exclusively with Wayfair and What’s The Jam.
Documenting his day-to-day life, The Pool Guy has risen to fame on social media with over 15 million followers and counting.

Viewers have been left very impressed with clean-up job but many also questioned the sheer horror of it.
Helen wrote: “How does an indoor pool get into that state??”
Mary commented: “I can understand an outdoor pool becoming that bad but an indoor one?”
“I bet that smelled divine,” said another viewer.

“The way I would make that pool room so cute and a spa if I had that kind of money,” added someone else.
Miles said: “One of the most common problems with pools is when they turn green.
“Whilst we can try to rectify these dilemmas as quickly as possible, they can prove to be extremely costly.
“Depending on what is around a pool or hot tub (leaves, trees etc.), general maintenance including cleaning and backwashing the filter should be happening once a week.
“Chemical checks should be done daily.
“If you own a hot tub, every three months you should be looking to get it cleaned and refilled as it is such a small body of water and there are quite a lot of chemicals in it!”
