A unique home carved into a 200-million-year-old rock face is now on the market for just under $1 million.

Located in Larkspur, Colorado, this property fittingly goes by the name ‘the Rock House.’

Designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings, the house is constructed around a 45-foot-high section of Colorado’s ancient red rock formations.

An estate agent told Luxury Property News, “Coloradans have a deep love for the outdoors, and this home takes that passion to the next level by literally incorporating the outdoors into the living space.

“The house is perfectly in tune with nature, built around a 45-foot-high section of one of Colorado’s cherished 200-million-year-old red rocks, and is bordered on three sides by community open space.

“This resort-style home flawlessly combines modern mountain living with the organic beauty of the stunning red rocks.

“Residents can enjoy a private ‘Garden of the Gods’-like setting, a picnic area, views of the Milky Way from the private hot tub, and a sense of peace and serenity that’s hard to find elsewhere.”

The property is currently listed for $989,900 by the Thayer Group at Keller Williams Action Realty in Castle Rock, Colorado.
