Channel 5 Newsreader, Dan Walker has been hailed for helping a man who was the victim of a theft.
The ex-BBC Breakfast presenter jumped to assist Tony Foulds after his leaf blower, batteries and tools, were pinched, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Caretaker, Tony, looked after a WW2 war memorial.

Classic FM show host, Walker, 47, said: “Just spoken to Tony.
“He is devastated that someone has stolen his leaf blower, batteries and tools from the park.
“I’ve managed to calm him down but if anyone has any information or knows anything, he just wants them back.
“So he can carry on looking after the memorial.”
The Mi Amigo war memorial he cares for is in Sheffield.

A spokesperson for hardware store Wickes said: “We are so sorry to hear someone stole Tony’s leaf blower.
“We will happily provide him with a brand new one through our Community Programme so he can continue taking great care of the memorial.”
One local said: “I have a brand new leaf blower that I’ve never used. He is more than welcome to it.”

“I’m happy to contribute, lovely story and a proper old gent, a dying breed quality people like that, I’m sure many would help fund replacements,” added another user.
Allison added: “Poor Tony.
“Absolutely heartbreaking that he has been upset like this but so glad to hear his leaf blower is being replaced.
“He has kept the memorial looking immaculate. Well done Dan. Sending Tony my love.”
“You are a good man Dan. Thank you for caring.” said another.
And, off the back of Walker’s helping, Screwfix has helped Tony out and replaced his tools.
He added: “An update on Tony’s tools which were stolen overnight.
“Genuinely blown away by the response – as is Tony – who is really emotional because of the outpouring of kindness.
“So many individuals, families and companies offered to help.
“I went with the first ones who were Screwfix who are going to replace everything.
“Social media can be a pit of despair but occasionally it reminds you that there are some decent humans out there.”
